March 17, 2007 - Lake Mary Florida -- Ethan Gosselin and Micah Tillman beat field of competitors from around the State of Florida Saturday to earn the coveted title of Florida State Champion.  For Ethan, his impressive high bar routine sealed his championship spot, placing him .45 ahead of the rest of the field.  Micah scored over a 9.0 on his Floor Exercise, Pommel Horse, Vault and High Bar routines, handily clinching the top spot.

Ethan has only been training in gymnastics for four years, starting his training at the very late age of 13.  However, he has qualified for the Region VIII Championships each year for the last three years.  As a result of his placement in this year's Florida State Championship, Ethan was selected to represent Florida as a member of the State Competition Team at the USAG Regional Championships for the third year in a row.

Micah has also been involved in gymnastics training for four years.  He spent his first two years as a Level 4 gymnast, and has worked for the last two years at Level 5. Micah is excited about qualifying for the Region VIII Championships this year. This will also mark Micah's first year as a member of the Florida State Team for Level 5, an honor reserved for the top eleven gymnasts at his level.
