Reigning world champion elite gymnast Chellsie Memmel visitied First Coast Gymnastics to encourage the gymnasts to pursue their gymnastics goals, discuss competitive strategies, answer questions and to sign autographs.

As her website states, "2005 proved to be a stellar year for Chellsie. She won a gold medal on bars at the American Cup and placed second at the U.S. Championships. She then went on to win four gold medals at the PanAmerican Championships, including the all-around! Finally, in Melbourne, Australia, Chellsie won the all-around gold medal at the World Championships - as well as silver medals on bars and beam!"

At the 2006 World Championships, Chellsie helped her team earn the silver medal. At the 2005 World Championships, Memmel became the first U.S. woman to win the all-around gold medal since 1994!
